Into the Riverina - Goulburn to Narrandera

8th May 2014

Set off at a nice leisurely pace today with a stop on the way in Gundagai [we by-passed the dog on the tuckerbox] and Wagga Wagga.  Both very tidy and well presented towns.

We arrived in Narrandera, checked into a great little caravan park on the south side of town and had time to go for a 2 hour walk along the Murrumbidgee river and irrigation canal, which was very pretty.  The river here is not far from it's confluence with the Murray.

We walked to a forested area set aside as a koala sanctuary, where they were re-introduced in the 1970's.

Despite much peering into the tree tops we didn't manage to sight any.  They must have been well camouflaged!
